Nevill Road Infant School

10th September 2018

Welcome back to a new and exciting year at Nevill Road Infant School. I hope you have all had a lovely break and are ready for all of the excitement of a new school year.

New beginnings

Our new Nursery and Reception children have begun their settling in period and we are excited to have our Reception children in full time from today. All other year groups have come back with a great attitude and we look forward to seeing all they can achieve this year.

We are delighted to welcome our new teachers Miss Chapman to Year 1 and Miss Ward to Year 2. We also welcome 2 new staff members into Little Bears, Mrs Whitehead and Miss Webster.

Mrs Whiteley also welcomed her new arrival over the weekend, a little boy, Finn John Whiteley. We hope she enjoys her maternity leave.

The weather

It seems at the moment as if summer has left us and we are into the changeable, unpredictable Autumn weather. In view of this can you please make sure your child has a named coat in school each day so that they stay warm and dry.

PE kits

Please can we ask that all children have their PE kits in school as their sessions for PE start this week.

Nut Free School

Just a reminder that children are not to bring nuts or nut products into school due to the impact this has on some children who have allergies.

Installation work on field

While our daily mile track is being completed please can we ask that all children are kept away from the field during morning drop offs and afternoon collections at home time.

Our new Nevill Road Way

Last Monday, the staff from the Infants and Junior School met to talk about our new school rules which will be used across both schools. Our aim is to have a consistent approach to behaviour so that children, parents and staff have a clear understanding of expectations. The new rules are….

Text Box: Ready

We will be sending more information about our new policy in the next few weeks.

Parking

Can we remind everyone to show respect for the safety of the pupils, parents and residents when parking.
